Abstract
:
This study is an attempt to: (1) Identify the sequence of the decision-making process and (2) To identify factors influencing the decision- making process in three public organizations in Saudi Arabia. To achieve these objectives, 139 executives were questioned to determine if they follow the sequence of the nine-phase model advocated by the authors and writers in the field of public administration. Thus, the main findings of this study are: 1. Executives described the decision-making process similar to those to what is commonly referred to as the scientific decision-making process. 2. Executives identified the main factors influencing the actual decision making process.
