Abstract
:
The aims of this research are the investigation of the principles of the effective administrative leadership and the clarification of the role of human relations in realizing the effectiveness of administration. It also shows the Islamic concept of administration which preceded the modern theories in determining the scientific concept of effective leadership, and aims to make chiefs aware of their role, and to help change them from administrative chiefs to leaders. This research also aims to recognize the difficulties which confront subordinates of both sexes in their relation with their chiefs in different fields of work in the Western Province. Two questionnaires were designed for this purpose. The research has been randomly conducted on 500 (male & female) subordinates, and 200 male & female chiefs. Data have been analyzed on the basis of the proper statistical methods. Some of the most important results of the research: * The existence of much interest in human relations on the part of chiefs from both sexes. * The chiefs from both sexes have much confidence in their subordinates. * Chiefs from both sexes view authority as an instrument of directing and encouraging subordinates to achieve goals. * Chiefs from both sexes welcome suggestions from their subordinates. * There is an atmosphere of cooperation and intimacy dominating the different work relations.
